Seeking Victim Information in Patrick Tran Investigation

Patrick Tran is charged with production and possession of child pornography and coercion and enticement of multiple victims. He allegedly used a fabricated online persona he referred to as “Reggie Smith” with SnapChat username “Travis_Story20.” Tran allegedly portrayed himself in videos as a black male with short black hair, wearing sunglasses, a necklace, and no shirt. Authorities believe he used this persona to entice hundreds of underage females to produce and transmit sexually explicit videos of themselves for a period of more than 10 years.

The FBI is seeking the public’s help in identifying potential victims who were under the age of 18 and may have been asked by Tran to produce sexually graphic videos or engage in sexual conduct while online. Contact may have occurred through the following social media accounts:

  • Alias: Reggie Smith
  • Snapchat username: Travis_Story20
  • Omegle (no usernames)

If you or your minor dependent(s) have been victimized by Patrick Tran or have information relevant to this investigation, please fill out this short questionnaire.

If you know of someone else who has possibly been victimized by Tran, please encourage them to complete the form themselves.

Your responses are voluntary but may be useful in the federal investigation and to identify potential victims. It may be that you have already given this information to an FBI agent, but please provide it again on this questionnaire. Based on the responses provided, you may be contacted by the FBI. All identities of victims will be kept confidential.

The FBI is legally mandated to identify victims of federal crimes it investigates. Victims may be eligible for certain services, resources, restitution, and rights under federal and/or state law.

NOTE: If you are currently under the age of 18, please have your parent/guardian submit this form on your behalf.
