FBI Sacramento Citizens Academy Alumni Quarterly Briefing

The FBI Sacramento Field Office would like to invite you to attend our next Citizens Academy Alumni Informational Quarterly Briefing “The Gilroy Garlic Festival Shooting: A Behind the Scenes look into the FBI Response of a Mass Shooting Incident.” This event is sponsored by the Sacramento FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association.

Briefing details: On July 28, 2019, an active shooter opened fire killing 3 festival goers and injuring 21 others. Special Agent (SA) Michael Gimbel was the first FBI agent on scene and helped coordinate and establish the FBI's response to the mass shooting. SA Gimbel will walk us through the events of the shooting, the post shooting chaos, the collaboration with law enforcement and public safety, and the assistance and help provided to the community and victims of the shooting. Please join us to learn about mass casualty incident response through the eyes of the FBI.
