FBI Active Shooter Attack Prevention and Preparedness (ASAPP)
Train-the-Trainer Program for Private Industry

This training focuses on preventing active shooter events ("See Something, Say Something, Do Something") and developing a plan for responding to active shooter events that uses the concepts of "Run, Hide, Fight". The two-hourlong training will combine PowerPoint slides, classroom activities, demonstrations, and hands-on training. The idea is to empower attendees and help them develop situational awareness.

We conduct a scenario where we get four volunteers from the audience to create a defense plan to defeat a shooter who tries to enter a room with the intent of harming them. We don't use any real or facsimile weapons, nor do we use any paintball guns or airsoft pistols to shoot people. The training is conducted in a completely safe environment.

We then divide the attendees (depending on the size of the class) into two groups. One group will practice the "Run" and "Hide" scenarios, while the other group will learn concepts about the "Stop The Bleed" concept and how to use pressure or tourniquets to stop bleeding. Then, the groups will switch so that everyone has an opportunity to participate in the activities.
